This Privacy Policy explains what information PlotLeads (the “Service”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. PlotLeads is a tool that delivers lists of publicly available business listings sourced from Google Maps for business-to-business outreach. This document is a plain-English statement of our practices and is not legal advice.
We do not sell your personal data.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address and authentication details, managed through our authentication provider, Clerk.
- Purchase history. Records of the credit packs you buy and your credit balance. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
- Usage analytics. Information about how you interact with the Service, collected through PostHog to help us understand and improve the product.
- Error logs. Technical information captured through Sentry when something goes wrong, so we can diagnose and fix issues.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Used to keep you signed in and to support analytics, as described below.
2. How we use your information
- to create and operate your account;
- to process payments and manage your credit balance;
- to deliver the data lists you purchase;
- to send transactional emails, such as receipts and delivery notifications;
- to monitor, secure, debug, and improve the Service; and
- to comply with our legal obligations.
3. Service providers (sub-processors)
We rely on a small set of trusted third parties to run the Service. Each processes data only as needed to provide its function:
- Clerk — authentication and account email.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Supabase — database and file storage.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Apify — sourcing of public business data from Google Maps.
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery.
- PostHog — product analytics.
- Sentry — error monitoring.
4. The lead data we deliver
The lists we deliver consist of publicly listed business information — such as company name, phone number, website, rating, and address — gathered from Google Maps. This information concerns businesses and is intended for business-to-business use. In some cases a business listing may include the contact details of a sole proprietor or an individual, which can constitute personal data under certain laws.
Business removal and opt-out. If you are a business (or an individual associated with a listing) and you want your information removed from our data or excluded from future lists, email support@plotleads.com and we will process your request. Please note that the underlying public listing on Google Maps is controlled by Google and the business itself, not by PlotLeads.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand how the Service is used through PostHog. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how the Service works.
6. Data retention
We keep account information, purchase history, and related records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You can request deletion of your account data as described below.
7. International users and your rights
The Service is operated for US customers, and your information may be processed in the United States and other countries by us and our service providers. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability. Because we do not sell personal data, there is nothing to opt out of in that respect. To exercise any of these rights, email support@plotleads.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and signed, short-lived links for file downloads. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
11. Contact
